Impressions

The first step in making a model of your teeth. You bite into a container filled with a rubber type material, and that material hardens to produce a mold of your teeth.

Interceptive Treatment

Treating children during their growing stages allows orthodontists to achieve results that may not be possible when face and jaw bones have fully developed. This early treatment can simplify future care.

A process where an archwire is attached to the brackets of your teeth.

Orthodontic Adjustments

An evaluation of your progress, where your wires or elastics may be changed to keep your treatment on track and moving forward. It may entail changing wires, making adjustments to the wires, making adjustments to the braces and other adjunctive appliances and determining if elastic wear is necessary.

Panoramic X-rays

A comprehensive X-ray showing all of the teeth, root structure and jaw bones.

Photographs

Facial photographs and intraoral photos will be taken through treatment.

Wax Bite

A record used to relate the lower teeth to the upper teeth so the bite can be properly evaluated.
